We continued the tour, made all the easier by Fei Xue's friend, Frank Deng and his wife, Maggie, who took us by car to Pudong, to dinner, and then at night on a tour of the Bundt along the river front in Shanghai. The nighttime ending to the day captured the the old European charm of Shanghai on one side juxtaposed against the ultramodern Chinese city on the other side. The lighting said it all.
