We went out into the countryside, driving about an hour from Linyi to Pingyi where to visit the Pingyi Museum of Science containing fossils and and minerals. The collection of minerals, in particular, was noteworthy and interesting. The museum is associated with Linyi University with several faculty serving in joint capacities at the Museum and Linyi University.
